This 40' Standard Box Car with Single Door shows ends painted brown and sides painted aluminum with red lettering This car was part of a large series that was built between 1945 and 1947.  This car illustrates an unusual paint scheme for box cars of the 1940's, even within its own series.  Canadian Pacific experimented with aluminum cars and red lettering in 1945.
