This Heavyweight Depressed Center Flat Car with Concrete Beam Load and Support Frame is painted dark brown with white lettering.  It was serviced in September of 1982.  This heavyweight car, built by Thrall, has a capacity of 260,000 lbs. and a platform length of 57' 9".  The depressed center is 21' long, one foot shorter than a similar car built by Roanoke in 1948.  The color and lettering pattern are post 1982.  The depressed center flat cars were designed to handle oversized loads that were too tall to allow passage through standard tunnels.
