This 50' Standard Box Car with Single Door is painted brown with white logo and lettering.  The door is painted yellow with large brown "LRD" lettering for "Load Restraining Devices".  It was rebuilt in April of 1996.  During the rebuild in 96, Load Restraining Devices were installed, apparent from the paint scheme.  Load Restraining Devices were specifically equiped to keep loads from shifiting during transit, saving the shipper the expense of custom built restrainers. The LRD's were moveable walls that could be locked into place.  They were particularly useful in bracing stacks of boxes, transporting food and other merchandise.  It is a non-insulated car carrying loads tolerant of extreme temperature.
