INFORMATION:

This ACF 3-Dome Tank Car is painted black with white lettering.  It was built by American Car & Foundry for Shippers Car Line, one of a four (4) car order.  Shippers leased to the Mexican Petroleum Corporation.  These tankers were designed to carry small quantities of multiple products, such as several grades of motor oil, gasoline or chemicals to be shipped in one car.  American Car & Foundry began production of 3-Dome tank cars in around 1930 and continued through 1946.
