This 100 Ton 3-Bay Hopper with Rib Sides and Coal Load is painted black with white logo and lettering.  They were built by Greenville Steel Car.  The cars in this series were leased from PML Inc. and intended to be used for service to a Sierra Pacific Power Plant, then under construction.  The ends were painted either white or, as in this case, blue.  The blue identifies the end of the car with a swiveled coupler; this allows the cars to be emptied using an in-train rotary dumper.
