This 50' Gondola with 14 Panels, straight sides and fixed ends is painted black with white logo and lettering.  They were first serviced in 1937.  Cars from this NYC series were dedicated to carrying removable containers.  AAR designations for such cars did not exist until 1949, when they became "LG" cars, defined as "an open top car equipped to handle one or more demountable containers for the transportation of commodities not under refrigeration".
