This 40' Drop Bottom Gondola is painted black with white logos and lettering.  They were built by Pressed Steel Car Company and serviced in July 1964.  These tough drop bottom cars were more versatile than the open hoppers or solid bottom gondolas.  They were seen well into the 1970's, even after the Northern Pacific merger with the Burlington Northern.
