WC 55136 carries a scrap iron load. Wisconsin Central Ltd. (WC) started in the mid 1980's using most of the original Wisconsin Central Railway's right of ways and some former Milwaukee Road right of ways. In 1995, the Wisconsin Central acquired the 322 mile Canadian Algoma Central Railroad and in 2001 the WC was purchased by a second Canadian Railroad, the Canadian National.
