This 39' Single Dome Tank Car is painted aluminum with black lettering.  In 1979 the 5-pack of Texaco tank cars was released as a new body style.  Prior to this release there were two pre-production samples at Micro-Trains that were used for preliminary ads.  These two original samples of # 3210 were given out to N scale organizations and wound up in collections in 1987 and neither have been offered since.  So this car is the third car in this collector series and due to the fate of the first two prototypes, this car was made available to the public but in a limited quantity.
