This 40' Despatch Stock Car with Single Door is painted brown with white lettering  Originally built as a single sheathed automobile box car, Wabash rebuilt this series of cars in 1933 and 1934 into single level despatch stock cars.  They were primarily used to transport cattle from the farms to market.  There were 400 total cars in this series with many remaining in service until the late 1960's.
