This 40' Despatch Stock Car with Single Door is painted red with white lettering.  Approximatiely 150 of these cars were built at the Gatesburg, illinois Shop between 1937 and 1938.  Some of these cars were seen, still in service and in their original paint, well into the late 1960's.  "Everywhere West" is painted on the door and "Way of the Zephers'" is painted on the opposite side door both in white lettering.
