This Heavyweight Passenger Diner Car displays the standard orange and maroon paint scheme common on all Milwaukee Road Passenger equipment.  This paint scheme can be traced back to the early 1800's.  As the color intensified over the years the name of harvest orange was settled on after WWII.  This color combination offered a striking contrast and was highly recognizable throughtout the country.
