In 1956 the Great Northern decorated 10 box cars in experimental paint schemes and sent them around the GN system for feedback. Some of the paint schemes were incredibly loud and garish for the day thus earning them the moniker "Circus Cars". The project was successful as GN did adopt a few of the paint schemes in future car decorations. This car is the first car released in MTL's Great Northern Circus Car Series. | | | | | | |
