This 40' Standard Box Car with Single Door is painted silver with black ends and black lettering.  The silver "Overnights" paint scheme was adopted in late 1955 and seen into the late 1960's.  The 45" Circular herald was painted Southern Pacific orange with black lettering. The "S", "P", and "Overnights" lettering was Southern Pacific red.  This car was built by Mt. Vernon Car Shops, it was serviced in Oakland, California in 1956.  The Southern Pacific operated across most of the western United States, from the west coast to New Orleans and Chicago.
