This 50' Standard Box Car with Plug Doors is painted navy blue with white lettering.  Showing the "Model Railroader" Logo in white lettering on a light blue background.  This car represents the 65 Anniversary of the Model Railroader Magazine publication.  In 1933, Al Kambach, a victim of the great depression combined his interests of model trains and his interest in printing.  The result was the first 12 page issue of the Model Railroader Magazine that sold only 272 copies.  Since then the MRR has become not only the oldest model railroad magazine but also the leader in circulation.
