This 36' Wood Sheathed Ice Reefer with Steel Truss Rod Underframe is painted brown with the sides painted reefer yellow on the upper part with black lettering and painted red with white lettering on the lower portion.  It has a modern underframe and was painted for the "Southern Star" line of meat products.  This ice reefer is one of 12 cars that was built by General American in July of 1925 for Quaker City.  It was then leased to the Louisville Provision Company.
