This 43' Three Bay Open Ortner Rapid Discharge Hopper is painted white with black lettering and black and red logo.  This car was built by the Ortner Freight Car Company of Cincinnati, Ohio and was serviced in January of 1972.  William Bros. Lumber Company had three truss and five millwork plants and is a division of Blue Circle North America Company of Mariette, Georgia prior to its late-1980;s spinoff by the Blue Circle America, Atlanta's leader in concrete, cement and aggregates.  Williams was a sister business.  The Corporate Sales Sheet of Blue Circle showed a yearly sales total of nearly 1.5 billion dollars.
