INFORMATION:

This 40' Despatch Stock Car with Single Door is painted brown with white lettering.  Built in April of 1936, this car was restored by the Chesapeake & Ohio in 1955 and photographed in service in 1963.  This type of stock car was used for transportation of stock on the hoof.  C&O is now the property of CSX Transportation Inc.
