This 40' Standard Box Car with Single Door is painted red with white lettering.  This is the ninth car out of ten in this series of "Circus Train Cars".  Build date on this one is August of 1949 with a service date of April 1956 at the St. Cloud Shops in Minnesota.  Despite its good looks, this car is able to carry 3,775 cu. ft. of cargo.  Great Northern used these cars to test public opinion on the visual impact of the paint schemes.  This led to these cars being known as the Great Northern Circus Car Series.
