This 40' Standard Box Car with Single Door is painted brown with white lettering with a red circle logo shown on the right side of the car.  The West India Fruit Co. operated railcar service between the Port of Palm Beach, Florida and Havana, Cuba from shortly after WWII until the Cuban embargo came into affect.  In its role as both a railroad and a steamship line they were able to offer a service where freight from anywhere in North America could be routed to Cuban Consignee's and delivered in the same rail cars and packaging in which it was loaded at point of origin.  The Service ceased completely in August of 1961.
