It was built by General American Transportation Corp., serviced in September of 1959. This reefer is capable of carrying 75,000 pounds or 1,634 cu. ft. of brine and meat. Gustavus Franklin Swift (1839 - 1903) founded a meat packing empire in the Midwest during the late 19th century, over which he presided until his death.
